New Hope Helping hosted their annual Steve Buck | Hardy Bush Golf Outing on June 23 at the Makefield Highlands Golf Club in Yardley.

Over 125 golfers came out for a day of golf, a chicken BBQ, and the chance to win the honor of wearing the Purple Jacket, all in the name of raising funds for New Hope Helping’s scholarship program. This year’s recipient of a $5,000 scholarship was Reagan Chrencik.

“We named this event for Steve Buck and Hardy Bush, two individuals who lived in service to our community, and it takes a whole community of people to make it happen,” said Ken Isler, event committee member. “We are grateful to everyone involved with this golf outing, from sponsors to volunteers, to participants.”

The team of volunteers included Bob Blazer, Cheryl Cvetan, Fred and Louise Williamson, Dave Hansel, Beth HasherSteve Williams, and Kay McBride.

New Hope Helping has a few more events in store this year, including:

  • The Road Rally for the New Hope Automobile Show on July 30
  • Youth Tennis Tournament on Aug. 5 and Aug. 6
  • Summer Cars & Coffee on Aug. 6
  • The New Hope Automobile Show on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13
