It’s summer, and the days are longer. If you’re looking to make extra money for a fun vacation, there are plenty of seasonal jobs that pay more than $20 an hour, writes Morgan Smith for CNBC Make It. Here are low-stress, high-paying summer jobs.
Tour Guide
Become an expert in your own town or city. Tour guides often make up to $22.58 an hour according to Indeed. You can host private or group tours, work for a travel company or be an independent contractor.
Tutor
Have skills that you can share? Tutors can make $23.92 an hour and teach a wide range of topics such as SAT preparation, math, writing, or ESL. High school diplomas and GEDs are preferred. An ideal tutor must demonstrate patience, flexibility, and dependability.
Construction Worker
If you love spending time outside, and are strong enough to carry heavy equipment, this may be the side gig for you. This position can earn up to $18 an hour. Construction workers are responsible for cleaning and preparing construction materials.
