The winery was listed as one of the best in the area.

The Philadelphia region is home to its share of great wineries and vineyards, and one of the best is in Bucks County, writes Brian Nagele for Restaurant Clicks.

Sand Castle Winery, located at 755 River Road in Erwinna, has ranked among the twelve best wineries and vineyards near Philadelphia.

The spot is located right by the Golden Pheasant Inn on the coast close to Marshall Island. It is also easy to get there using the Tinicum Creek Road. All you have to do is drive past Cedar Lane and follow the coast for the rest.

The winery is named after the sand-colored, fortress-like structure that is its home. The building has sharp edges and a majestic but commanding vibe.

The interior is posh, with amazing rugs and gorgeous chandeliers.

They offer many great wines, including their signature Chardonnay and the Dry Riesling. Both deliver soft and buttery flavors that have hints of bright fruit to tickle the tongue.
