The Sheriff's Office warns of giving away too much personal information via decorations.

The Bucks County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents to be mindful of what they advertise on their property in and out of their home.

While many might find their bumper stickers to be in good humor and lead to interesting conversations, criminals in and out of the area see something different. The Sheriff’s Office shared a pictured of a bumper covered in stickers, with each one potentially posing a danger to the drivers and their families.

The ever-innocent “Baby on Board” sticker could give the wrong people the idea that the driver is easily distracted with an infant. Sharing personal interests like hunting, fishing, and biking could tip off criminals that the driver has expensive trinkets in their garages.

“We are the proud parents of (…)” doesn’t get the pass either; this could let criminals know where your children go to school.

While the Sheriff’s Office did not say that these should be avoided, the warning was to let drivers know that giving away too much personal information could be hazardous.
