The director has a vast history in the local music scene.

A high school in Bucks County has named the new leader of their marching band, continuing a long tradition of music and sports.

Nick Seifert, the former Band Director at Immaculata High School in Somerville, New Jersey, has been named the new Director of the William Tennent High School Marching Band. Hailing from Bridgewater, New Jersey, Seifert got his start at the University of Notre Dame, where he majored in saxophone performance and biological science.

His time with Immaculata’s Spartan Marching Band was where first started overseeing bands and their performances.

“Under his leadership, the Spartan Marching Band made an exciting entrance to the NJMBDA circuit finishing top 5 out of 25 competing bands in the state, and capturing the BOA Piscataway Regional Class A Championship,” the Centennial School District said online.

During his college years, he was a member of the Band of the Fighting Irish; his time with the band saw him awarded with the Notre Dame Outstanding Band Member Award in 2020.

Nick currently lives in Stockton, New Jersey and teaches Biology at the Solebury School in New Hope.
