A playground in Bucks County has been temporarily closed to the public after a local animal decided that it was the perfect place to settle down.
Kids Kingdom Playground, located at 1100 Edgewood Road in Yardley, has been blocked off with police tape for a very unique reason: a mother duck decided that the middle of the playground would be a great spot to hatch her eggs, and local officials are letting her do so.
“We have a ducky situation at Kids Kingdom!” officials from Lower Makefield Township said online.
“The Playground will be closed while a momma duck watches her ducklings hatch. She has taken up residence in the playground, and we cannot disturb her at this time.”
Once the ducks are safe enough to move, wildlife officials will go in and move them to a safe location. Until then, residents and visitors are advised to keep away from the park.
“Even ducks need room to play!”
