The long-standing business was sold to new owners, who intend on using it for a new eatery.

A popular restaurant near Bucks County has closed its doors, but the owners are giving hope that a new dining spot will take their place.

Sneddon’s Luncheonette, located at 47 Bridge Street in Lambertville, closed their doors on June 11, much to the disappointment of the community, as well as over the Delaware River in neighboring New Hope.

“We will miss the smiles and the laughs, and the customers who have become our friends,” owners of the business wrote on social media. “We can’t begin to thank you enough for supporting our business through floods, hurricanes, blizzards, power outages and of course, a global pandemic.”

For those who are upset that the location will not be used as a dining establishment, the owners have indicted that the new owners “intend to open a breakfast/lunch restaurant in keeping with the building’s history.”

On social media, the restaurant saw an outpouring of well-wishes to the owners, as well as memories and pictures form meals enjoyed at the eatery over the years.
