The county's planning commission tallied up the number of lights, which some might see as a bad omen.

Transportation officials from Bucks County have tallied up the area’s traffic signals, and the exact number might be disturbing for some.

The Bucks County Planning Commission, headquartered at 1260 Almshouse Road in Doylestown, recently used data to show how many traffic lights are in use in Bucks County altogether.

The total number of traffic lights in the county? 666.

The commission’s Signalized Intersections Map showed that the county had the dreaded number of traffic signals. Despite the coincidence, the commission focused on a bigger issue at hand.

“Even with that many signals, many of our 54 municipalities don’t have any and even more have only one!” the organization said online.

The interactive map can show residents if they have traffic lights in their area. This can be used to determine if nearby roads are safe, or if extra precautions should be taken before driving.

While some might use this occasion to throw on a certain Iron Maiden song, others can use this map to ensure their safety while driving through the county.
