The event will allow resident sot enjoy a classic game in a local park.

For those looking for something fun to do this weekend, a local game tradition will be returning to a popular Bucks County town.

Doylestown will see the return of “First Saturday Chess” this weekend at Doylestown Historical Society Park, located at 56 South Main Street. The event will be held from 11 AM – 2 PM.

If weather will not permit outdoor playing, games will be played in the Syd and Sharon Martin Barn located in the back of the park.

“First Saturday Chess is open to players of all ages and abilities,” organizers said online. “There is no charge to attend. Chess sets are available on site.”

The tradition is a fun way for members of the community to come together and enjoy a classic game. Warmer weather, along with the town’s reputation as a wonderful place to visit, will ensure a good time for all who attend.

“Enjoy a great game in a relaxed atmosphere!”
