A nonprofit in Bucks County has been acknowledged for the impact they are having on members of the community who are in need.

United Way of Bucks County, located at 413 Hood Boulevard in Fairless Hills, was presented with the “Community Champion Award” by St. Mary Medical Center, a hospital in Langhorne. Those present to receive the award included Tim Philpot, Sheri Ratner, Joann Dorr, and PJ O’Brien.

“We were recognized for our dedication to improving the lives of our #BucksCounty neighbors through community collaborations and partnerships,” the organization said online.

Thank you so much to St. Mary’s and to Joann Dorr for this recognition.”

The organization has had a busy year thus far. It recently held its first in-person Board Orientiation since the pandemic and, just a few days ago, continued their efforts to combat hunger in the area with a community meal-packing food drive, which was held at the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem.
