The tour will show the unique bridges to local residents.

One of Bucks County’s popular outdoor destinations features a series of unique structures, and a local organization wants to teach you about them.

The Friends of the Delaware Canal, a group that oversees events at and projects the eponymous trail, will be hosting a Camelback Bridge Walk on June 24 from 10 AM – 12 PM. The event will take place in Raubsville, just north of Bucks County in the area of Easton.

“This 4-mile walk will begin at the Theodore Roosevelt Recreation Area where we will learn about the Groundhog Lock,” the organization said online.

“We will then venture north to Woody’s Camelback Bridge, the fifth of the six authentic camelback bridges to be restored in 2017 by the friends with the help of many generous donors.”

The Camelback bridges can be found along the towpath at various points, giving local travelers an opportunity to cross the water and make it to their homes or onto another trail.
