Priests and parishioners from several towns came together for the celebration.

Three neighboring Bucks County parishes hosted an inaugural Corpus Christi procession on June 10, writes Catholic Philly in a photo feature.

Around 500 people from St. Bede the Venerable in Holland, St. Vincent dePaul in Richboro, and Nativity of Our Lord in Warminster parishes watched the event that was held at Northampton Municipal Park.

During the procession, the pastors who were participating prayed in adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament at each of the three stations.

Father Watson led the prayers in front of the altar that had been arranged by his parish, Nativity of Our Lord. Following the prayers, Father Paolino led the procession to the second altar set up by his parish, St. Vincent dePaul. Finally, the procession made its way to St. Bede the Venerable.

According to Britannica, the feast “originated in 1246 when Robert de Torote, bishop of Liège, ordered the festival celebrated in his diocese.”
