The program began this month and will continue into mid-July.

A park in Bucks County is offering young residents the chance to learn the sport of archery in a safe and interactive program.

Falls Township Parks and Recreation is hosting a youth archery program in partnership with Shooting Star Archery Academy, a local archery club. The program, which began on June 5, is being held at Quaker Penn Park in Morrisville from 5 – 5:45 PM on a weekly basis.

“We have an amazing curriculum and are proud to be one of the few clubs certified to conduct the USA Archery ‘Explore Archery’ Program!” the parks and recreation department said online. “We also implement weekly engaging themes and lesson plans.”

The program is designed for kids ages 6-17. It costs $140 for residents and $150 for non-residents; these funds will cover all equipment that will be used.

The program will continue on a weekly basis until July 10. All activities are weather-dependent.
