A diner in Bucks County is saying farewell to its community as it closes its doors after decades of food and memories.

R&S Keystone Diner, located at 4714 Bethlehem Pike in Telford, will be closing its doors after 75 years of business. Family-owned and operated, the diner has been a fixture of Hilltown Township since the late-1940s.

“For the most part I’m keeping it together but, you know, it’s very bittersweet. It’s a long time anticipated,” said owner JoAnn Kerr. Her parents opened the diner in 1948, and she has worked there since she was 15.

“We all worked hard, my dad worked hard. He didn’t know how to cook and went in, and did it.”

The building that the diner has been in will still be used. Weaver, Reckner & Reinhart Dental Associates, a dental service provider whose current office is down he road, will take over the diner’s spot for more space.
