The new dining establishment will be opening this week.

A new tavern will be opening just outside of Bucks County this week, and locals and visitors are excited for the new establishment. Ryan Kneller wrote about the new spot for WFMZ 69 News.

Flying Pig Tavern & Tap will be opening at 1313 Center Street in Bethlehem on May 15. Offering a wide variety of beers and cocktails, it is preparing to be a new favorite spot in the area.

“We would like to thank the Lehigh Valley and Bethlehem for your patience during our build up to opening day,” restaurant management said online. “Flying Pig Tavern is thrilled to become a part of this neighborhood and community.”

The statue of the tavern’s mascot, Winky, a flying pig, will be set outside to “greet” customers as they walk in.

“It’s great to have partners who are both family and well-seasoned restaurant owners,” said Tim Kounoupis, a local restauranteur. “We all bring something unique to the table, but we all also have the same goal — providing a great customer experience through friendly service and the freshest ingredients possible.”
