The partnership helped raise funds for both the food store and the nonprofit.

A health food store in Bucks County recently teamed up with a local nonprofit and raised thousands of dollars for their mission.

Last month, Kimberton Whole Foods, located at 4010 Durham Road in Ottsville, teamed up with Doylestown nonprofit Peace Valley Nature Center to round up purchases at their store to celebrate Earth Month.

Through this initiative, the store was able to raise $6,936.46 for the nonprofit.

“Rounding Up at the Register is a program that gives you the opportunity to give back to your local community every time you shop,” the food store said online. “You’ll have the option to round up to the nearest dollar when you check out, and the difference will be donated to a local non-profit.”

The food store chain has been around since 1986 and has locations all over the southeastern Pennsylvania region. Offering healthy food options, initiatives like theses are another way to keep the community healthy.

The Doylestown nonprofit acts as a living museum and environmental education facility located within Peace Valley Park.
