The officer was honored, along with all other fallen officers in and out of the area.

Bucks County remembered those who gave the ultimate sacrifice with a recent memorial service in the county’s seat. Ed Doyle wrote about the event for TAP Into Doylestown.

Bucks County officials and members of local law enforcement recently met in Doylestown to remember two officers from the area who lost their lives in the line of duty. One specific official remembered was Warrington Township police officer Stephen Plum, who passed away after suffering a heart attack in May of 2022.

Plum worked with the K9 Murphy and was remembered fondly by his colleagues.

“Our community has joined us in our moments of grief and our moments of remembrance. We are eternally grateful for the continued love and support of our department, the Plum Family, and K9 Murphy,” the police department said online.

Another similar event, the Bucks County Police Memorial Ceremony, will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, located at 81 Swamp Road in Newtown, on March 22 at 7 PM. Like the Doylestown memorial, the event will honor Bucks County law enforcement officials who died in the line of duty.
