Several members of a Bucks County JROTC program worked to honor the area’s fallen heroes through a symbolic gesture.

Students from Bensalem High School that are enrolled in the school’s Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps program made their way to Washington Crossing National Cemetery last month as a part of the Wreaths Across America event. The group went around the Newtown cemetery and placed wreaths on the graves of the area’s fallen heroes.

Cadets Liam Robinson, Gadiel Soto, Jacob Huttenberger, and Samantha Flynn played a major part in the event, which took place near Christmas time.

“Last month the cadets gave honors during Wreaths Across America and today a few cadets gave up their time on a day off to help out with the equally important job of cleaning up the wreaths to keep the National Cemetery looking beautiful,” the Bensalem High School – Marine Corps JROTC said online.
