The organization acknowledged individuals making a difference in their community.

Each year, the Bucks County Intermediate Unit recognizes individuals who have made an extraordinary contribution of support and assistance to their programs and students with a Caring Community Award and celebration.

All Caring Community award winners were delivered a personalized award certificate by their nominee along with an invitation to attend a social that was held on May 25 at the Bucks IU’s Administrative Office in Doylestown. The evening included light refreshments and a slide presentation featuring all the nominees along with the details as to why they were being honored.

Dr. Mark Hoffman, the organization’s Executive Director, led a brief program of recognition and thanks.

“We are grateful to our Caring Community for the support and opportunities they generously provide to our students and staff,” he said.

“The partnerships highlighted tonight showcase the power that results when we work together to provide amazing opportunities for students across Bucks County.”

This year, Caring Community Awards honored 98 individuals representing a wide variety of over 55 local businesses and industries, nonprofit agencies, local government offices, community volunteers, retirees, and school district personnel.
