An upcoming walk to fight breast cancer will be held at a popular venue in Bucks County, and everyone from the community is invited. Staff writers at CBS News Philadelphia wrote about the upcoming walk.

Susan G Komen’s More Than Pink Walk, an annual charity walk, will once again be held at Parx Casino in Bensalem on Mother’s Day. This will be the second time the event is held at the Bucks County casino.

The event will open at 8:30 AM, and the opening ceremony will begin at 9:30 AM.

“As it’s been a Mother’s Day tradition,” said Brandie Engelberger, Susan G Komen’s executive director for Pennsylvania and Delaware. “We will be coming together in large numbers this weekend to celebrate our survivors and fight back against breast cancer.”

The organization works to help those dealing with breast cancer, as well as to inform everyone about symptoms and what can be done about the ailment.

“Our mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer,” the organization said online.
