An environmental nonprofit in Bucks County is ringing in the spring by showing the natural beauty of the area.

Friends of the Delaware Canal, headquartered at 145 South Main Street in New Hope, is celebrating the changing of the seasons. The nonprofit organization recently posted several pickers of the canal area, as well as some close-ups of the local flowers.

“Spring is in bloom!” the organization said online. Their mission has been to preserve the area’s reputation for great places to live.

Known for its natural beauty and scenic outdoors area, Bucks County has become known for having countless areas to enjoy the wonders of nature.

“The Friends of the Delaware Canal is an independent, non-profit organization working to restore, preserve, and improve the Delaware Canal and its surroundings. Our primary goals are to ensure the Canal is fully-watered from Easton to Bristol and the towpath trail is usable over its entire length.”
