The new chief operating officer has worked in the area for almost two decades.

A nonprofit in Bucks County recently named a local professional to a high-up position within their upper management. Samantha Bambino wrote about the new officer for the Lower Bucks Times.

Kristin DeForest is the new chief operating officer of Family Service Association of Bucks County, a nonprofit social service organization that helped close to 50,000 individuals last year.

DeForest is a seasoned professional who brings decades of experience in the field to her new position. She has previously served in various clinical and administrative roles.

She spent close to 18 years at Edison Court in Doylestown before she joined Family Service. There, she advanced her way up to the position of executive director. Her extensive knowledge will help her use technology and innovation to improve operations at her new organization.

“As a resident of Bucks County for more than 20 years, I am humbled by the opportunity to join Family Service,” said DeForest.

“The vision of the organization speaks to a commitment to help ensure all members of our community are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. There is truly nothing more rewarding to me than serving the community my own family calls home.”
