The bookshop is celebrating a century of books from a major publisher.

A popular bookshop in Bucks County is celebrating a major milestone for a huge publisher, whose books line most of their shelves.

The Lahaska Bookshop, located at 162A Peddler’s Village, Route 263 & Street Road in Lahaska, is commemorating the 100th birthday of W. W. Norton & Company, a major book publisher based in New York City.

Bringing books of all genres to readers around the world, the local bookshop is one of many who stock the countless works they have created.

Founded in 1923, the publisher was started by William Warder Norton and his wife Mary Dows Herter Norton. Publishing works of fiction and non-fiction, the company has cemented itself in the American publishing market, regularly creating great works alongside the “Big Five” publishing companies: Penguin/Random House, Hachette Book Group, Harper Collins, Simon and Schuster, and Macmillan.

The bookshop has set up a display of several works from the publisher in celebration of their anniversary. Owned by the popular Doylestown Bookshop, the Lahaska location has become a fixture of both Peddler’s Village and the Upper Bucks County area.
