The popular bookshop is considered a required visit in the Bucks County town.

A popular bookshop in the Bucks County area recently saw a change in ownership, with several employees taking over the well-known store.

Farley’s Bookshop, located at 44 South Main Street in New Hope, has been one of the most popular shops in the riverside town. In operation since 1967, the store has been offering literary essentials to locals and visitors for almost six decades.

Recently, the bookshop announced that they had changed hands in ownership, with longtime employees Julian Karhumaa, William and Katie Hastings and Charlie Balfour being announced as the new owners on Monday.

“The store is staying on Main Street, we’re open 7 days a week and we’re excited to continue, update and move forward this independent bookselling tradition that’s been in New Hope since 1967,” the bookshop said online. “Thanks to the community for all the support all these years.”
