A hospital in Bucks County recently received a major addition to their large campus, supplying residents with more important healthcare services. John George wrote about the local healthcare center for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Upper Bucks County campus of St. Luke’s University Health Network, located in Milford Township just outside of Quakertown, recently saw an additional 13 beds added their adult behavioral center. The renovations and expansions cost approximately $6.4 million.

Now, this center has 32 beds altogether, allowing for the hospital to treat more patients in need.

“The increase of 13 beds will allow for improved access to needed services across the county,” said Dennis Pfleiger, the president of St. Luke’s Upper Bucks campuses.

Back in February, the campus saw a $79 million addition added to their location. The structure, which stands three stories and at 117,225-square-feet, has doubled the size of the campus and began providing patient care on March 1.
