Director of Business Development, Corporate Engagement, and Conference Planning

This position will oversee business development and corporate engagement initiatives and will also be responsible for the leadership and management of Penn State Great Valley’s conference services business (CPS). He/she will work effectively and collaboratively with campus leadership and staff to create, nurture, and expand existing relations and partnerships by fostering programs that bridge PSGV and its corporate partners and clients. The person will further develop existing external engagement programs, as well as develop and execute on a vision for new engagement opportunities, and will lead business development efforts, including writing proposals for potential clients, serving as the initial point of contact, establishing partnerships, supporting the development and delivery of cost estimates, and tracking prospective partners and similar leads.

The ideal candidate will possess a master’s degree and experience in developing proposals and contracts. He/she will have project management experience, as well as experience envisioning, developing, implementing, and measuring the success of engagement and partnership strategies.
