Bensalem Man Can Hunt and Fish Again Thanks to Local Doctor Pinpointing the Source of His Pain

By

Ron Mroz of Bensalem used to enjoy hunting and fishing with his friends, according to a staff report from 6ABC.

“We go up there, and we fish for a week up in the mountains,” he said. “And we fish different streams and all.”

But then he had to start missing some of those beloved yearly trips due to a strong pain that made him unable to walk or stand.

“It hurt so much, down your butt down to your knee, really,” said Mroz.

He was a maintenance worker in a large paper factory at the time.

“It got to the point when I was walking out to a machine, I’d have to sit down halfway there because I couldn’t make it all the way out there,” he said.

Then Dr. Theresa Pazionis, a Temple Health spine surgeon, explained to him that his pain did not start in his leg. It was actually caused by herniated or bulging discs on his back.

Despite years of anti-inflammatory injection treatments, Mroz still needed surgery, but now he is moving pain-free again.

“I haven’t run across anything I can’t do now,” he said.
