Plumsteadville Fire Company Receives $100K Donation from Local Car Dealership

The donation will go on to make the community safer.

A Bucks County fire company was the recent recipient of a large donation from one of the largest car dealerships in the entire area. Jeff Werner wrote about the donation for the Doylestown Patch.

The Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company, located at 5064 Stump Road in Plumsteadville, was awarded a donation of $100,000 by the Fred Beans Automotive Group. The money will be used for two large construction projects and the purchase of new fire trucks.

“The fire company is soliciting donations like this very generous one made by Fred Beans to cover the gap between our funding sources and the total project costs as well as to pay down the debt we are taking on by spending the appropriated grant money before we have it in hand,” said Charlie Rumble, the former president of the fire company.

Fred Beans, the dealerships founder and namesake, said that donations like these are made in order to benefit the whole community.
