As part of its new gardening program in Bucks County, Penn State interviewed a local horticulture specialist in a new podcast. Alexandra McLaughlin wrote about the podcast and its guest for Penn State.

“Keeping it Green” is run by Penn State Extension, which oversees an important gardening program offered through Penn State University. The podcast is hosted by Margaret Pickoff, a horticulture educator based in Bucks County. She co-hosts the show with Tom Butzler, Sandy Feather, or Tim Abbey, members of the Extension’s green industry team.

“We started this podcast as a way to share interesting conversations with horticultural professionals from Pennsylvania and beyond,” said Pickoff.

“This is for folks working in the green industry, in ornamental and commercial horticulture, and for anyone who likes growing plants.”

The Penn State Master Gardeners of Bucks County has been using a property in Bristol as part of their expanding gardening education program. Beginning during the pandemic, the university’s program started using Adams Hollow Community Garden for students and staff to learn about what goes into the growing of food.
