Doylestown Dog Trainer Was Lead Animal Wrangler on Animal Planet’s ‘Puppy Bowl’
A Bucks County dog trainer was recently involved in a very popular event that takes place during the Super Bowl, and it wasn’t the football game. Jeff Werner wrote about the trainer for the Doylestown Patch.
On Super Bowl Sunday, Doylestown dog trainer Victoria Schade was the lead animal wrangler for this year’s hugely popular “Puppy Bowl”. The game pit Team Fluff against Team Ruff inside Puppy Bowl Stadium as adorable puppies “played” football for the “Lombarky” Trophy.
“There’s nothing cuter than puppies having fun together on a football field,” said Schade. “It’s the cutest show you could watch.”
The program was taped last October in Glens Falls, New York.
“It’s basically football with puppies,” said Schade. “They are scoring touchdowns. We’ll have puppies napping on the field. They play with each other. They give cute little facial expressions. It’s just an adorable spectacle.”
The mission behind the Animal Planet show is to raise awareness of the adoption and rescue of dogs and puppies.
“The message is foster, rescue, adoption – all the things we can do to get these puppies into wonderful homes,” she said.
And in addition to being a superb dog trainer, Schade is also an accomplished writer and author. She penned two dog training books and four novels, all of which revolve around dogs.
