The school district will be opening schools late the day after the game.

As many Bucks County residents are hoping for a quiet Monday following Super Bowl Sunday, one school district is applying leniency. Kristen A. Graham and Jesse Bunch wrote about the much-needed delays or The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Quakertown Community School District is one of many Philadelphia-area school districts that will open schools late the day after the Super Bowl. As many people want to take it easy the next day, many school administrators have begun to take this into consideration for both students and staff.

The city’s school district began to implement this as a way for everyone to enjoy the game without school looming over them the next day.

Other school districts following suit are the Jenkintown and Wissahickon School Districts.

“We recognize and value this time with family and friends and understand that this will be a late evening for our students,” said Jill Takacs, Jenkintown’s Superintendent.
