A Bucks County addiction center is now offering a new program that is designed to help working professionals dealing with related issues. John George wrote about the center for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Livengrin, a drug and alcohol addiction treatment center in Bensalem, is launching a new program aimed at working professionals.

The Workforce Professional Program is tailored to provide care for working professionals while at the same time allowing them to maintain their work responsibilities and business relationships. It is an intensive treatment process intended for those who cannot fully disconnect from work while undergoing a residential treatment program.

The initiative is one of several led by Christopher Francis, a 20-year Livengrin employee who was recently appointed the center’s president, CEO, and chief clinical officer.

Francis feels that the new program will set Livengrin apart from other treatment centers as it lasts just 21 instead of the usual 28.

“Evidence-based information for over a decade now says you really only need those 21 days to help change your behavior,” said Francis.

The residential program will include a gym and personal trainer and will also allow patients to have access to their phones and computers, something that is not customarily permitted.

“These are things that working professionals need,” said Francis. “And the curriculum is really tailored around stress at work.”
