Warminster-Based Historical Society Celebrates Another Year of Educating Public, Looks for Volunteers
A Bucks County historical society is celebrating their impact on the community while also looking for new volunteers for the new year.
The Craven Hall Historical Society, located at 599 Newtown Road in Warminster, recently celebrated another year of teaching locals and residents about the area’s history. Now, they are looking for volunteers that are well-versed in local history and have a knack for teaching on the subject.
“This past year, we welcomed hundreds of guests interested in learning more about our local history,” the society said online.
“It takes a group of dedicated individuals truly passionate about the preservation and the education of our local history, and we are so lucky to have a fantastic team here at Craven Hall.”
The land that the build sits on was once part of a load deal made by William Penn back in 1681. Since the late 1970s, the property has served as a location to teach American and Bucks County history.
