It’s very easy to be consumed and overwhelmed by your workload, and the rise of remote work can have a severe impact on your personal life. Even doing something that you’re passionate about can cause burnout writes Joseph Liu for Forbes. He tells us reasons why it’s important to take a break.

Self-Rejuvenation

Liu suggests finding an activity to do every day that rejuvenates and centers you so that you can be re-energized to get back to work. Just make sure that whatever you seek to do is unrelated to your job.

Productivity

According to OSHA, 83 percent of people in the US workforce say they suffer from some kind of stress related to their job. It’s important to know your limitations so you can avoid burnout.
