Archbishop Wood High School Senior Addresses Local Schools to Discuss Important Scholarship

The senior addressed students who were eligible for the same scholarships she has.

A Bucks County high school student addressed several nearby schools to discuss the impact and importance of a major scholarship.

Megan Mayro, a senior at Archbishop Wood High School and a Neumann Scholar, recently took to a video conference where she addressed all of the parochial school candidates who qualified to receive the same scholarship she has. Mayro told student show the scholarship made a major impact on her education over the last four years.

The scholarship program identifies academically talented eighth-grade students in the school system using a competitive examination. Those who qualify are provided a four-year scholarships to attend one of seventeen Archdiocesan high schools in the area.

“Just before they announced the winners, Megan spoke about her experience so far at Archbishop Wood and how lucky she feels to be a Neumann Scholar,” the school said on social media.

“She also touched on all of the benefits and guidance that has come with being a Neumann Scholar throughout her four years in high school.”
