The slaughterhouse is brining Lancaster-style meats to Bucks County.

A Bucks County meat processing facility is utilizing traditional methods of food production that have been a longtime standard in Lancaster. Dan Sullivan wrote about the processor for Lancaster Farming.

Kingdom Provisions, located in Pipersville, is operated by Ephraim Stoltzfus and his son Samuel, along with business partners Ken and Kerry Rush. The team, primarily from the Lancaster area, bought the former location of Gouldey’s Butchershop at 5960 Durham Road in the summer and are now bringing their goods to the area.

Their recent approval by the USDA ensures that they will be able to produce some of the best quality meat in the area.

“We spent a lot of money to recondition the building and get it up to USDA specs,” Stoltzfus said. “We’re set up to kill beef and also lambs and goats, but primarily beef is what it’s set up for. We’ll do the slaughtering under USDA and also further processing.”
