The subway would give Bucks County residents an easy method of transportation Into Philadelphia.

With talks of building a Roosevelt Boulevard subway, with a stop in Bucks County, PennDOT is studying what it would take to make it a reality. Ryan Mulligan wrote about the organization’s recent reviews in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is currently studying the options for what it would take in order to make the long-talked-about subway become a reality. If created, it would give Bucks County residents an easy option for transportation in and out of the city.

“Hopefully, when that study comes out it’s going to embrace rapid transit, and then next is securing the dollars,” said Pennsylvania Rep. Jared Solomon. Solomon has bee communicating with representatives from PennDOT, all of whom are looking at all the possibilities in regards to construction of the subway.

The current resurrection of the Roosevelt Boulevard subway proposal is tied to federal funding. Thanks to the infrastructure bill signed into law by President Joe Biden last year, the current moment is seen as a good time for new infrastructure and transit projects.
