Holy Family University to Host Annual Nativity and Tree Lighting Ceremony This Week

This town is regarded as one of the best holiday destinations in the country.

Holy Family University has announced that their annual Nativity scene and Christmas tree lighting event will be held this week.

The event, titled “Nativity and Tree Lighting Ceremony: An Interfaith Celebration”, is set to be held on Dec. 1 at 6:30 PM. It will be held at Holy Family Hall, located at 9801 Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia, at the school’s city campus.

Everyone is invited to join the University’s community has they partake in a annual holiday tradition. Attendees will gather in front of Holy Family Hall to bless and light the manger scene; all in attendance will then be gathered to carol to the Campus Center, where the tree will be lit in order to honor the faith traditions present on the campus and in the community.

The event is free and open to the community; parking will be free in front of Holy Family Hall and throughout campus parking locations.

The University’s mascot, Blue, will be dressed as Santa Claus to greet children in attendance.
