A Bucks County church is set to continue a long-celebrated local tradition after a years-long hiatus due tot he recent pandemic. Staff writers at the Bucks County Courier Times wrote about the popular tours.

Following a two-year pause due to COVID-19 concerns, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Doylestown is once again sponsoring a “Christmas in Doylestown” house tour. The tour allows community members to take a rare peek into some of the borough’s historic homes gorgeously decorated for the holidays.

Throughout the years, St. Paul’s has opened more than 100 homes to the public. Most of these residences are decorated either by parishioners or friends of the parish.

This year’s tour will take place on December 3 and December 4. The complete circuit is about 2.5 miles. The oldest home that is part of the 2022 tour is the three-story Federal-style brick house built in 1858.

Those who stop by Saint Paul’s Parish Hall before or after the tour will be able to enjoy holiday tea and Saint Paul’s famous butter cookies, along with several special raffles.

This will be the 27th “Christmas in Doylestown” event. Since its inception, the tour has donated over $193,000 to the Doylestown Homeless Shelter through its partnership with Bucks County Housing Group.
