A musical instrument manufacturer in Bucks County has been outfitting local musicians for years, even garnering the attention of a legendary player.

The Bucks County Drum Company, located at 1760 Costner Drive in Warrington, recently hosted a drum clinic at the New Hope Winery. Among the guest shot evening were Jon Loree, a local drummer and music teacher, and funk legend Bernard Purdie. After seeing Loree perform, Purdie commended him on his skills.

“Him saying that about my playing has been ringing in my head all day,” Soree said on social media.

“I’m humbled and honored to have met and shared the stage with Bernard Purdie and Kevin Soffera some of the best and most humble players. Thank you as always to Chris from Bucks County Drum Company for ALWAYS having my back, and putting faith in me to talk at a clinic. I’m beyond inspired and ready to keep working.”
