The two towns were listed as must-stops for the winter.

Two Bucks County towns have been ranked as some of the best places to visit over the winter, listed alongside other top stops in the country. Stefanie Waldek wrote about the towns for Country Living.

Many towns throughout the country get to truly shine in winter, due to their Christmas lights displays, historic architecture, or dramatic landscapes. Among those that truly stand out for how beautiful they are during the coldest months, two are in Bucks County.

New Hope ranked at No. 27 on the list of 40 of the Prettiest American Towns to Visit During the Winter. During Christmas, this picture-perfect town looks like it came out of a Hallmark movie.

Children get the chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus while riding on a magical “North Pole” train ride. Meanwhile, families can take in a holiday show at Bucks County Playhouse and adults can enjoy some jazz at The Tavern at New Hope Winery.

Lahaska also made the list at No. 37. The picturesque town is home to the very merry Peddler’s Village. It truly comes alive during the holiday season when it gets decorated with one million sparkling lights. Families can then enjoy delicious fine dining, find something fun at more than 60 shops, and even take a spin on a 1920s carousel.
