The cover bands and tribute acts all congregate to this one Bucks County town.

Several well-known eating and drink establishments in the New Hope area are hosting some of the most popular tribute acts in the area. Don Steinberg wrote about the battle of the bands for Philadelphia Magazine.

Havana’s on Main Street, a mainstay of the New Hope Music scene, is conjunctly hosting acts that are either a local tribute act of a big rock ticket.

“We’ve been doing music for about 27 years,” says Mark Stevens, owner of Havanas.

“We went real heavy with national acts in the 2000s, and I guess around 2010 started to sprinkle in a few tributes. You discover right off the bat that their riders aren’t as demanding, the price you have to pay is not as high, and the profit tends to be better. We started to just shift gears and put in a lot of tributes.”

The New Hope Winery also sees its fair share of rock acts, from Kansas tribute acts to Styx cover bands.

Bands playing the music of Eagles, Bob Seger, and Neil Young are a common sight at the popular bars and eateries of New Hope.
