Quakertown will now have a new means of public transportation.

Megabus is expanding its Philadelphia service by adding eleven more routes, including to and from Quakertown. Rodrigo Torrejón wrote about the transportation news for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The expansion is the result of a partnership between Coach USA’s intercity bus service and Fullington Trailways, a service with a number of central Pennsylvania routes. The partnership will connect Philadelphia to eleven cities, including Quakertown.

New schedules for the added routes were posted online on August 29. Tickets for the new routes became available from last Thursday at us.megabus.com.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to embark on this partnership to expand service throughout Pennsylvania,” said Colin Emberson, Coach USA Vice President Commercial. “As the demand for travel continues to grow, these new routes will offer many convenient new options for our customers and will be a great addition to our existing network.”

Other routes that are also part of the Philadelphia expansion include Williamsport, Lewisburg, Danville, Bloomsburg, Hazleton, Jim Thorpe, Beaver Meadows, Hudsondale, Lehighton, and Allentown.
