A Langhorne native joined his fellow Villanova Wildcat players to represent the United States at the International Basketball Federation. Isabella DiAmore wrote about the Bucks County player for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Chris Arcidiacono, a Wildcats senior guard and Neshaminy High School graduate, recently played on the U.S. men’s 23-and-under 3×3 team. The competition took place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from Aug. 13 to Aug. 19.

“We practiced a couple times a day,” said Arcidiacono. “We were learning different types of strategies that you might use that’s different than five-on-five, like the way to defend.”

Arcidiacono said that the competition his team competed in is very intense in regards to defense.

Dixon and Arcidiacono were invited back by USA Basketball to compete on the 2022 3×3 team after they finished with a 4-2 record in the 2021 National League.

Following the retirement of head coach Jay Wright, assistant coach Kyle Neptune took over the men’s team, something that has brought them international attention.
