Shady Brook Farms' strawberry picking weekends are coming soon.

The approach of Memorial Day weekend 2022 ramps up thoughts of outdoor time, fresh air, late sunsets, relaxed schedules, and the taste of fresh produce. Among the favorite Bucks County spots to harvest annual berry and fruit yields is Shady Brook Farm in Yardley. Its event calendar is already blossoming with opportunities.

The annual Strawberry Festival is right around the corner. Held this year on June 4–5 and 11–12, the farm shuttles pickers to its strawberry fields where they can harvest Fragaria × ananassa for themselves.

And because all that work is made a little lighter with some music, the site provides a roster of performers:

  • June 4: Cat Daddy the Band
  • June 5: Barefoot Bobby & the Breakers
  • June 11: Leisure Suit Monday
  • June 12: Electric Stingray

Tickets may be purchased online.

For palates that prefer peaches, patience is required, which will nonetheless pay off prosperously. Self-pick peach days at Shady Brook Farm (during which visitors can also pluck sunflowers) run the first three weekends in August.
