A Yardley couple has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of car theft and burglary throughout southeastern Pa.

Yes, it’s Easter Bunny season, but a Yardley couple — Keith Johnson and Jessica Fletcher — is being jailed for crimes that include a decidedly Grinchy act on Christmas night 2010. On a more widespread basis, they also stole more than 250 motor vehicles in Southeastern Pa. The case’s resolution was announced by the office of Pa. District Attorney Josh Shapiro.

The investigation into Johnson and Fletcher began after numerous car break-in cases went unsolved for months.

The Christmas heist, particularly egregious, had the pair surreptitiously entering a Phila. home and stealing $150,000 in cash, the resident’s entire life savings.

Johnson was sentenced to 4–12 years in state prison. Fletcher was sentenced to five years’ probation. They were also ordered to pay more than $140,000 in restitution.

“These defendants stole from hundreds of victims and are now being held accountable for their crimes. Thanks to the tireless work by our office in partnership with the Buckingham Township Police Department, residents can rest assured knowing these individuals will no longer be harming our communities,” read a statement from Shapiro’s office.
