The renovation of the Fairless Hills branch of the YMCA of Bucks County is in its last lap. After an 80-year history, the site has been refreshed and rethought inside and out.
Improvements include:
- Increased parking
- Repainting of the gymnasium, walking track, and pool
- Observation area added to the aquatics center
- Modernization of the façade and interior spaces
- ADA accessibility
- Newly appointed locker rooms
- Revised Stay & Play facilities for members’ children
- Community gathering space
- Expansion of the fitness center to accommodate:
- Additional cardio equipment
- Increased free-weight space
- Two group exercise studios
- Spin room
- Areas designated for stretching and training
The new branch is working toward an Apr. 15 full open; however, the Y is providing enticements for members to hop in beforehand. Perks include early access during the two weeks preceding the official opening, credit toward Y programs like swim lessons and personal training, and a long-sleeve tee shirt (several of these offers are while supplies last).
More information on the refreshed Fairless Hills branch is available at the website of the YMCA of Bucks County.
