Love Grabs Hold of Morrisville Wrestler, and Doesn’t Let Go
The culmination of a couple’s relationship usually revolves around a ring, presented after a courtship of some time. For Mike Olchewsky, a professional wrestler from Morrisville, the process of connecting with his wife (then Jacquie Clark, soon to change to Maestas) started with a ring. Kellie Patrick Gates explained in The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Ring in Olchewsky’s instance meant the setting for his career. Under the stage name Diabolos Macabre, he thrilled local crowds with his pile-driving, arm-wrenching, rope-walking skills.
Clark, a fan of the sport, saw him perform one night. Despite his wild hair and wilder antics, she found him cute.
But neither were able to move forward, owing to existing relationships.
Sixteen years later, however, Clark was divorced, and Olchewsky’s marriage was also ending.
They connected online, met in person, and chatted for five hours on that initial outing, the first of many.
In 2019, over an intimate meal at the King George Inn (Bristol), Olchewsky proposed.
They united in October 2021. The event included a “blanket ceremony,” a marriage tradition of wrapping couples in a quilt, which honored Olchewsky’s Mexican heritage.
“Mike is one of the smartest people I know,” Clark said. “There is no one better than him.”
“She is one of the most caring people that I’ve ever met,” Olchewsky’s said of Clark. “We are two oddballs — two oddballs that really match each other so well.”
More on this wrestler and his wife is at The Philadelphia Inquirer.
