Lehigh Valley Health Network, based in Allentown, has expanded into Montgomery County with a multi-specialty health center, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The new Pennsburg health center offers several medical services for area residents, including pulmonology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, OB-GYN care and breast health care, family medicine, EXPRESSCare for minors illnesses and injuries, imaging services, rehabilitation care, and lab services. Pediatric care is to come later this year.

“Residents of northern Montgomery County have been asking for more access to LVHN’s great doctors and services, and we listened,” said John Pierro, LVHN Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “We’re excited to serve Pennsburg and all surrounding communities. Whether you call Pennsburg home or live nearby in great communities such as Red Hill, Green Lane, Perkiomenville, and others, the most trusted health care partner in the region is nearby and ready to help.”

The new Montco $4.2 million LVHN Health Center is 22,000 square feet and located at 101 W. Seventh Street off Route 29, serving the areas of Perkiomenville, Red Hill, Green Lane, and Pennsburg.

Lehigh Valley Health Network operates nine hospital campuses in the Lehigh Valley region with sites in nearby Sellersville, Quakertown, and Doylestown, but no planning to expand further into Montgomery County.
