Trash buildup and accumulations of needed property repairs are behind Bensalem Township’s legal attempt to close the Neshaminy Inn. James McGinnis checked into the inhospitable details for the Bucks County Courier Times.

Onsite violations at the Route 1 site have been accumulating since December 2019, with new infractions added yearly. Issues of concern range from an unsafe repair to a balcony to piles of trash and the infestations resulting from it.

Court records suggest Bensalem has spent more than two years trying to get the owners, NI Properties, to address the dangers.

Thus far, its representatives have declined to comment.

More on the current status of the Neshaminy Inn is at the Bucks County Courier Times.
